THE GLENELG COMMUNITY CLUB
Since 1964, when the Senior Citizens Club and the Retired Citizen Craft Centre amalgamated as the Glenelg Community Club we have been providing our Members with a range of activities and services 6 days a week.
The Craft Shop is a hidden treasure providing a range of beautifully hand-crafted items ranging from children's wooden toys and furniture to hand-knitted dolls and clothing. Proudly supported by the industrious team of volunteers in the workshop the stock within the Craft Shop is continuously updated.
Glenelg Community Club members enjoy a full schedule of activities for seniors ranging from language lessons, ukelele, line dancing, a range of yoga and dance classes, music and wood working workshops and a range of card groups including 'Dutch' and 'Bolivia'.
Everyone is welcome at the Glenelg Community Club with membership $10 and a minimal cost to attend activities. We aim to provide a relaxing and enjoyable space for Seniors in the Glenelg and surrounding Community to come and enjoy quality time together.
The volunteers at the craft shop are incredible. They built a Waldorf inspired playstand for my daughter, it is beautfiul. I couldn't get it anywhere so asked them, they did it within a week. It is stunning. Thank you so much!
My next part of my life, join up for a year. So many new things to do. Best part meeting new people from all over the world. And beside a great beach and close to plenty of shops and places to eat.
